Bookish Buys for July 2018
As we welcome in what is set to be a scorcher of a month, another payday calls for more book related treats. If you’re anything like me, July is packed full of weddings and birthdays so hopefully, these bookish treats ideas will come in useful. No paid promotions here, just stuff I love but if you want to recommend something you’ve seen then let me know on Facebook or Twitter. Welcome to my Bookish Buys for July 2018.
Available in lots of different styles and size, this ‘bookmarks are for quitters’ t-shirt caught my attention and made me grin this week. Probably because I can’t seem to keep hold of a bookmark for longer than two books so I’m always hunting around for scraps of paper instead.

This personalised book page embosser is the perfect treat for anyone a bit obsessed with their book collection. Forget having to deface books by writing you or your kid’s name in them, keep it clean and crisp with this handy little tool. One squeeze and your name is embossed on the page forever. Personally, I also like the idea of having one made with a nice message for when you gift books to people too.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a cult novel that still feels as fresh, funny and smart as when it was first published in 1979. These socks feature the smiley planet motif from the first American publication as well as ‘Don’t’ and ‘Panic’ under the feet.

Klevercase makes some of the most beautiful e-reader covers I’ve ever seen. The Pride and Prejudice cover above is one of my favourites but they also make Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland covers and a number of other styles. You can have them personalised for gifting and they are available in numerous sizes to fit most common e-readers and tablets.

Festival and camping season is upon us and although this Fully Booked tent might not be the cheapest option out there it’s my favourite by far. Designed to look like a book (even with a barcode on the back) it’ll certainly be easy to spot your bed among all the generic greys, greens and blacks. Comes in a useful carry case, is 100% waterproof and is suitable for 2-3 people.

Stephen King is the master of horror and even if you’re not an avid book reader you can’t have missed his numerous tv and movie adaptions from Carrie to The Shining and Netflix recent version of Gerald’s Game. I grew up seeing my mum reading Terry Pratchett and my dad reading Stephen King, so he’ll always have a special place in my heart. These magnets from Etsy seller Bunnyhell are the perfect gift for the horror fan that has is all.
